Create a professional invoice in minutes
An invoice is the document that asks a client to pay. A good one names both parties, shows a unique invoice number and date, lists each item with quantity and price, states tax and discounts, shows the total and says how and when to pay. This generator builds that layout from the details you type and updates the preview as you go. It defaults to Pakistani rupees, and you can switch currency for overseas clients.
What to include on an invoice in Pakistan
- Your business or personal name, address and contact details.
- Your NTN, and STRN if you are registered for sales tax. Add them only if they apply to you.
- A unique, sequential invoice number and the issue and due dates.
- A clear description, quantity and unit price for each line.
- Sales tax shown separately where applicable, and the total amount payable.
- Bank or mobile-wallet details for payment.
Freelancers receiving foreign payments should keep invoices and bank records for their tax return. This tool produces a document layout only. It does not file anything with FBR or provincial authorities, and a registered business may need to use a prescribed invoice format or the FBR e-invoicing system. Check your obligations with a tax adviser.

Good invoicing habits for freelancers
- Send invoices on completion, with clear payment terms such as net 7 or net 15 days.
- Number invoices in sequence and keep copies for tax records.
- State the currency and bank details clearly, especially for overseas clients.
- Follow up politely a day after the due date.
Record keeping
Pakistani freelancers and small businesses should keep invoices, bank statements and receipts for at least the period required by tax law. Reconcile payments monthly.
