🕌 Zakat according to Islamic rules
Zakat is 2.5% of total wealth that has been in your possession for one lunar year (hawl), provided it reaches the nisab. This calculator uses the fixed 2.5% rate as prescribed for cash, gold, silver, and business assets. Agricultural, mineral or treasure zakat may differ, but for personal wealth it's universally 2.5%.
Formula (always 2.5%):
Nisab = lower of gold nisab (87.48g) or silver nisab (612.36g) based on current market values. The currency and nisab adjust to your selected country.
Zakat recipients (8 categories): Fuqara (poor), Masakeen (needy), Amil (administrators), Muallaf (reconciled hearts), Riqab (captives), Gharimin (debt‑ridden), Fisabilillah (Allah’s cause), Ibnus Sabil (stranded traveler).
